WOMEN'S SOCCER'S SEASON COMES TO AN END AT (RV) NORTHWESTERN OHIO, 3-1

LIMA, OH - Women's Soccer (12-7-0) saw its season come to an end on Wednesday night, with the team falling short against the RV Northwestern Ohio Racers (12-5-2) 3-1 in the first round of the WHAC Playoffs. Despite the loss, Rochester will have a lot of positive things to reflect on from this season, including its highest single-season win total in program history.

The Warriors were out-shot 16-6 during the contest, with the disparity showing in the second half. Despite what the score may indicate, goalkeeper Naomie Tartrou had a strong showing in her playoff debut, saving seven shots and keeping things within distance for the Warriors for the majority of the contest.

Junior Faith Staley would shoot four of the Warriors' shots during the game, but the Warriors as a whole would struggle to put much pressure on the Racers' goalkeeper, who only needed to make one save during the contest. The Racers would score in the first two minutes of the contest and earned two more goals in the second half to put the game away and advance.

The Warriors will head back to the drawing board this offseason and have already begun on the recruiting trail. Rochester will look to bring an even more experienced team into next season.
