(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian Women's Soccer team returned home to continue their season on Friday night as they took on the Trolls of Trinity Christian University. The Warriors scored a goal in each half to win the game 2-0 and move to 2-1-0. Trinity Christian now moves to 2-3-0 on the young season.
TCU recorded the first couple of shots of the game within the first 10 minutes of the game before RCU took control. Three straight corner kicks, two from Aliana Perez, would allow the Warriors to tally the first goal of the game when Perez's corner would deflect off a Troll defender into the net. Throughout the rest of the half, the two teams would trade shots with neither team being able to net another goal.
Rochester Christian kept the pressure up in the second half, recording multiple shots and corner kicks. Olivia Howes was able to net her third goal of the season, in the 63rd minute, off a pass from Aliana Perez when the goalie nearly came out of the 18-yard box and rolled it past the TCU defenders.
Brooklyn Perron had a stellar game in net, recording her first career complete game shutout at the collegiate level after making seven saves throughout the night.
