WARRIORS FALTER AT 1ST ANNUAL MIDWESTERN CLASH

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The Warriors (2-4) weren't able to get a win during the 1st Annual Midwestern Clash, falling behind after a tough weekend. Sophomore Raymond Perez III had a solid weekend, logging five hits, including a home run and two RBIs against IU Kokomo.

WARRIORS VS. #25 FREED-HARDEMAN - L, 1-14

After a close first inning, Rochester couldn't sustain much momentum the rest of the game against Freed-Hardeman, falling behind after a dismal fourth inning. Rochester had a great start in the first inning, with Alspaugh getting an RBI double after Lucas Bateman got on base from a walk. From there, the Warriors had trouble containing the Lions, who went on a tear.

WARRIORS VS. IU-SOUTH BEND - L, 0-13

It was another tough outing for the Warriors against IU South Bend, with the team conceding several runs in the first three innings. Brendan DeFlorio had a solid outing at bat, recording two hits.

WARRIORS VS. IU-KOKOMO - L, 3-9

After a tough start, Rochester put on a late comeback effort that came up short against IU-South Bend. Kyle Shagena would score the Warriors' first run of the game after getting on base with a single, running in after a ground-out. In the final inning, Mason Young would put on a masterclass stealing bases, stealing second and third consecutively to give Rochester a shot at a score. Perez sealed the deal on Young's effort, bombing a home run to get Rochester two more runs before the final out.

WARRIORS VS. SAINT XAVIER - L, 2-7

Rochester took a 2-1 lead in the second inning thanks to another big play from Perez. Donovan Galovich and DeFlorio advanced on walks to set up a double by Perez that got both baserunners to home plate. Rochester couldn't keep it up, however, with the Cougars exploding for six runs, which were the last scores of the game.
