The Warriors will take on the Lourdes Gray Wolves on Saturday at 3:00 PM in Garth Pleasant Arena, where the team will celebrate senior day, honoring six members of the team (Elysia Mattos, Jacara Thompson, Faith Terry, Lauren Wynn, and Maddie Beck). Despite the festivities, with a three-way tie developing in the WHAC championship race, this will be a crucial game for Rochester.
Led by second-year Head Coach Tandy Bradford, the Gray Wolves have five home wins this season and two road victories. The team is led by the sister duo of Emma and Shae Pedroza, who combine for 23.9 points a contest.
On the defensive end, Lourdes has recorded 207 steals and 57 blocks for the season. The team is fighting for the final spot in the WHAC tournament heading into the last five games of the regular season.
Rochester University holds a 12-2 all-time advantage in a series that began on Jan. 23, 2012. The Warriors have won three straight meetings between the two schools, with the last meeting being a 70-61 Warrior victory in the Russell J. Ebeid Center on Jan. 7, 2023.
The Warriors currently are number one in the conference standings at 13-2. Rochester has won eight consecutive games after defeating Cornerstone 85-81 at home on Jan. 28th. The Warriors have five games on the schedule to play before the regular season ends on Feb. 18th.
