DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Warriors (5-5-6, 4-3-3) won against Defiance (0-16-0, 0-10-0) on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors dominated the shot distribution, shooting 55 total shots. Defender Sydney Hawks got the Warriors' goal of the game, set up by fellow defender Faith Staley.
THE RUNDOWN
FIRST HALF
- The Warriors were firing away to start the game, with several players getting attempts, thanks to great defensive play. Despite the attempts, Defiance goalkeeper Taylor Osborne saved several shots by RCU. 30 minutes into the game, the Warriors had a stretch of chances that couldn't find the back of the net
SECOND HALF
- The Warriors continued to launch shots that were either saved or just wide at the net. After a long stretch of shot-on-goal attempts, Hawks gave the Warriors their break in the 82nd minute when Staley got a clean pass off to her for the goal. RCU made sure not to give the Yellow Jackets a chance to respond in the final eight minutes
