MEN’S SOCCER DEFEATED 4-1 BY SPRING ARBOR

WASHINGTON, MI - Men's soccer (1-1-0) was defeated 4-1 by Spring Arbor (4-0-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Michigan Stars Sports Center. Despite an early goal to get things going, the Warriors were met by a series of Cougar attacks that secured the game for Spring Arbor.

Rochester got things going early when sophomore Ivan Stojanovic got a pass on the left side of the pitch from freshman Nemanja Adamovic and lined up for a goal to the right side of the net in the 8th minute of action. However, Spring Arbor quickly adjusted and scored a goal of their own seven minutes later.

Things continued to not go Rochester's way, as the team struggled to find answers for Spring Arbor's high passing style of play. In quick succession, the Cougars scored two more goals in the 28th and 30th minutes to go up 3-1 before the end of the half.

The offense would continue to go well for the Cougars, who scored another goal quickly into the second half. Rochester attempted to find answers offensively, but getting attacking opportunities proved to be tough for the Warriors.
