WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO MADONNA 1-0

LIVONIA, MI - Women's Soccer (10-4-0, 4-3-0) wasn't able to secure a victory on Saturday morning against the Madonna Crusaders (8-5-1, 5-2-0), falling behind 1-0. Rochester and Madonna played an even game for the most part, but it was an early second-half goal that doomed Rochester.

From a shot standpoint, the game was played pretty close, with the Warriors shooting nine shots to the Crusaders' 10. Credit needs to be given to Madonna's goalkeeper, who saved six of those ten shots on teh Warriors, with Rochester coming very close to tying the game late in the contest.

The Warriors' Sammi Springer led the way in shot attempts, with her and sophomore Jenna Schodowski having two chances in the final fifteen minutes. Goalkeeper Naomie Tartrou logged three saves.
