WARRIORS SHUT OUT BY SPRING ARBOR

WARRIORS SHUT OUT BY SPRING ARBOR

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - It wasn't an ideal day for RCU against Spring Arbor during a nine-inning game on March 18, with the Warriors falling 12-0. Errors and hits made the difference in the contest, with the hosting Cougars besting RCU in both categories. Brendan DeFlorio and Drew Schultz both posted two hits each in the contest.

THE RUNDOWN

The Warriors were in a bind after the first inning, leaving two runners on base before errors led to Spring Arbor scoring two runs. The missed opportunities continued for the Warriors in the second inning, with two more runners left on base. Unfortunately for RCU, the Cougars were hot at bat throughout the game, logging ten total hits and scoring runs in the first six innings.

RCU continued to try and advance runners by aggressively stealing bases, but outs continued to plague the Warriors' comeback efforts. A sixth-inning homer by the Cougars proved to be a dagger for RCU, and the game would end in the ninth inning by a score of 12-0.

UP NEXT

The Warriors head back into conference play, facing Indiana Tech at home on Sunday, March. 23.
