WARRIORS FALL SHY OF CLEARY ON THE ROAD

December 18, 2024

The Warriors were within striking distance of the hosting Cleary Cougars on Dec. 18 but ultimately couldn't get over the hump on the road in a 69-63 loss. Both teams were all over the defensive end of the floor, with RCU forcing 30 Cougar turnovers. However, the Cougars capitalized on free throw efficiency, which doomed the Warriors in the loss.

ASHLEY LOON WINS WHAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

Following a release by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon, forward Ashley Loon has been named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week with a five-steal, one-block performance in the Warriors' 82-76 OT win on Saturday afternoon.

WARRIORS PULL OFF BIG OVERTIME WIN AT HOME

December 14, 2024

The Warriors secured a big overtime victory over the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon, winning 82-76 to fight off a comeback effort by the Blue Devils. The Warriors started the game out hot, leading by as much as 21 points before LTU caught fire in the fourth quarter. However, in overtime, big plays by Ashley Loon and Shahd Bakkar helped the Warriors secure the win.

WARRIORS FALL IN FOURTH QUARTER TO CRUSADERS

The Warriors' second half against the Madonna Crusaders was a tale of two quarters, with the hosting Crusaders making a big final push to get past the Warriors 90-79. The Warriors put up an impressive third quarter, outscoring Madonna 33-22 to go up two. However, the Crusaders recovered to get past the Warriors and seal the game.

OFFENSE SPUTTERS IN WARRIOR LOSS TO AQUINAS

December 04, 2024

The Warriors weren't able to get the offense rolling until the second half of their game against the Aquinas Saints on Wednesday night, falling 70-49 in the matchup. The Warriors had trouble finding much success shooting the ball, allowing the Saints to build a large lead for the majority of the game. Forward Ashley Loon led the team in scoring with 14 while grabbing five rebounds.

WARRIORS PREPARE FOR ROAD TRIP TO FACE SAINTS

The Warriors will look to keep their momentum going following their Nov. 26 win against Lourdes on the road at Aquinas on Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are looking for an important win to stay among the top seeds in the WHAC standings.

WARRIORS SECURE FIRST WHAC WIN AGAINST LOURDES

Warrior fans were thankful for a win on Tuesday night in Garth Pleasant Arena, as Warrior women's basketball secured a close victory over the Lourdes Gray Wolves right before Thanksgiving break. All four quarters were decided by just two points, with the Warriors winning three of the quarters to seal the win.

WARRIORS RETURN HOME TO HOST LOURDES AT GARTH PLEASANT ARENA

After a long road trip away from home, Warrior women's basketball returns to take on the Lourdes Gray Wolves at Garth Pleasant Arena on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The Warriors look to bounce back from a road loss to Cornerstone last week Wednesday, while the Gray Wolves enter conference play on a 2-0 start.

WARRIORS FALL BEHIND IN SECOND HALF TO CORNERSTONE

November 20, 2024

The Warriors couldn't overcome the Cornerstone Golden Eagles' impressive offensive performance on Wednesday night in Mol Arena, falling 74-57. The three-point line was the difference maker in the matchup, with the Golden Eagles shooting 15-30 from the stripe while RCU shot 4-24.

WARRIORS STUMBLE AGAINST #10 RIO GRANDE

November 16, 2024

It was a tough outing for the Warriors on Nov. 16 against #10 Rio Grande, falling 107-67. Following a decent first quarter, the Warriors struggled in the second period as the Red Storm outscored RCU 29-9. Despite a much stronger second half, it wouldn't be enough for RCU. For the Warriors, forwards Jacey Somers and Tambre Williams led in scoring, with Somers logging 22 and Williams earning her first career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

WARRIORS HEAD TO #10 RIO GRANDE FOR NON-CONFERENCE MATCHUP

RCU looks to get a momentum-shifting win at #10 Rio Grande on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. The Warriors, amid four consecutive road games, will look to figure out a few things on both sides of the ball before the team enters conference play next week.

WARRIORS DEFEATED ON THE ROAD AT SPRING ARBOR

November 13, 2024

A third-quarter push by the hosting Spring Arbor Cougars (6-0) proved too much for RCU (1-4) on the road on Wednesday afternoon, with the Warriors falling 80-57. RCU's scoring was led by sophomore forward Jacey Somers and junior forward Melanie Moore, who scored 14 each.

The Warriors will look to get things back on track on Wednesday morning at Spring Arbor on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Wednesday's game will be RCU's second of four consecutive on the road, and will be a big one for the team as they try to find momentum heading into a challenging November slate.

In a challenging regular-season basketball contest at the Savannah Center on Nov. 6, the Warriors fell short against Indiana Northwest, with the final scoreboard reading 83-63. Jacey Somers led the scoring for the Warriors with 18 points, followed by Shahd Bakkar, who notched 11 points. Karmyn Lowry and Ashley Loon each contributed 7 points. Lowry also managed to pull down three rebounds and nabbed two steals.

The Rochester Christian Warriors (1-2) secured a resounding victory over the Lambton Lions (1-1) with a final score of 93-33 at Garth Pleasant Arena on Nov. 2. The regular-season encounter saw the Warriors' defense stifle the Lions' offense, holding them to only seven points by halftime.

TURNOVERS GIVE WARRIORS TROUBLE AGAINST #RV MARIAN IN 2024-25 HOME OPENER

It was a rough outing for the Warriors (0-1) in their home opener on Tuesday night against #RV Marian (1-0) in Garth Pleasant Arena, with RCU falling 74-37. After a very troubling start on the offensive end, the Warriors found themselves trying to catch up with the Knights throughout the course of the night.
