MEN'S SOCCER CONFERENCE AWARDS RELEASED

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has released its awards for the 2024 men's soccer season. For RCU, midfielder Nemanja Adamovic was selected as the Warriors' Champions of Character Team nomination.

KNEZEVIC EARNS WHAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

The Warriors' Luka Knezevic has earned the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week award following a two-goal, two-assist performance in the Warriors' 5-1 win over Defiance College on Oct. 23.

WARRIORS SHUT OUT BY #17 INDIANA TECH AT HOME

It was a tough final home game of the season for RCU (3-10-2, 3-7-1) on Saturday afternoon, falling to #17 Indiana Tech (10-1-4, 9-0-2) 4-0 in Michigan Stars Sports Center. Indiana Tech gave the Warriors plenty of trouble on the offensive end, with the visitors putting up 42 total shots on the Warriors.

WARRIORS EMERGE VICTORIOUS OVER DEFIANCE ON SENIOR DAY

Eight seniors for the Warriors (3-9-2, 3-6-2) got to celebrate a win on senior day as the Warriors defeated the Defiance Yellow Jackets (0-16-0, 0-10-0) 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Michigan Stars Sports Center. The Warriors got off to a fantastic start with three goals in the first half before scoring an additional two to keep the game in their favor.

It was a stellar day of offense for the Warriors (2-9-2, 2-6-1), with four goals propelling the red and black to a 4-3 win over the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines (3-9-2, 3-6-1) on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors survived a near comeback by the Wolverines, scoring a critical goal with 12 minutes remaining that prevented the Wolverines from forcing a draw.

A slow second half prevented the Warriors (1-9-2, 1-6-1) from securing a win on the road against the Concordia Cardinals (4-8-2, 2-4-2), falling 3-1 on Oct. 12. Following a first-half goal from senior Dmitar Stankovic, a high number of shots from the hosts overran the Warriors.

The Warriors (1-8-2, 1-5-1) fell to the Madonna Crusaders (10-1-2, 7-0-0) on Wednesday afternoon at Michigan Stars Sports Center. The Warriors struggled to find an offensive output that matched the visitors, as the Crusaders out-shot the Warriors 25-6. Goalkeeper Kris Tauzik led both keepers in saves with seven, while forward Ivan Stojanvic led the Warriors in shots on goal with two.

An early goal by senior Viktor Juncaj helped the Warriors (1-7-2, 1-4-1) earn their first win of the season over the Siena Heights Saints in Adrian on Saturday evening. The Warriors had one of their stronger offensive performances of the season, producing 19 shots to the Saints' eight.

The Warriors (0-8-2, 0-5-1) fell behind the Cornerstone Golden Eagles (5-4-1, 4-2-0) on Wednesday night 2-0. Despite a fairly even shot distribution, the Golden Eagles were able to find a few more openings than the Warriors and take the win.

Goalkeeper Kris Tauzik recorded his fifth double-digit save game of the season for the Warriors (0-6-2, 0-3-1) on Saturday evening in Michigan Stars Sports Center, forcing a tie against the visiting Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (3-4-2, 1-0-2) 1-1. The Warriors led for most of the game following a brilliant transition goal, with Tauzik producing multiple high-difficulty saves.

Following an early goal by the Warriors (0-6-1, 0-3-0) on Wednesday afternoon, the visiting Cleary Cougars (5-4-0, 2-1-0) scored four unanswered goals to push past RCU 4-1 at Michigan Stars Sports Center.

RCU goalkeeper Kris Tauzik has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week following a stellar week defending the net for the Warriors, including a 15-save performance to force a draw against Goshen at home on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Tauzik's 15 saves were a career-high, while also tying for second-most by a Warrior goalkeeper in a single game in program history.

The Warriors (0-3-1) fell to the Adrian Bulldogs (6-0-0) 3-0 on Sept. 15. Despite outshooting the Bulldogs 16-6, Adrian got more bang for their buck.
