WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL CONFERENCE AWARDS RELEASED; HUDGINS EARNS SECOND TEAM NOMINATION

In a release by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference league office on Thursday morning, the 2024 Women's Volleyball WHAC awards have been released. RCu is headlined by middle blocker Chante Hudgins, who earned a Second Team All-Conference nomination following a stellar debut season for the Warriors. Fellow middle blocker Alivia Everitt was recognized on the WHAC All-Freshman team, also showcasing impressive numbers in her inaugural collegiate season.
WARRIORS FALL IN STRAIGHT SETS TO #12 AQUINAS

On Nov. 1 at the Sturrus Center, the Warriors were defeated in straight sets by the #12 ranked Aquinas Saints in a challenging WHAC volleyball face-off. The keenly contested match ended with the Saints clinching a 3-0 victory over the Warriors. The set scores were 18-25, 13-25, and 19-25.
WARRIORS FALL SHORT WITH ERRORS AGAINST SIENA HEIGHTS

The Warriors (7-20, 0-14) lost in three games to the Siena Heights Saints (18-5, 11-3) on Saturday afternoon. Errors plagued the Warriors in the contest, as RCU committed 19 to the Saints' six. Outside hitter Kourtney Mack led the Warriors in kills with ten.
WARRIORS FALL IN STRAIGHT SETS TO CONCORDIA

The Warriors (7-19, 0-13) fell in three neck-and-neck sets to the Concordia Cardinals (11-13, 6-7) on Oct. 25. In all three games during the match, the Warriors were defeated by no more than three points in the match, with two sets going to extra points. Right side Madelyn Geisenhaver led the Warriors in kills with ten, while setters Mackenzie Keefer and Emma Hock combined for 33 assists.
WARRIORS DEFEATED IN THREE TO #RV INDIANA TECH

It was a quick outing on Saturday afternoon for the Warriors (7-18, 0-12), as the team fell in three games to #RV Indiana Tech (20-8, 11-1) in Garth Pleasant Arena. Indiana Tech's offensive outpaced the Warriors in all three games, as the Warriors had difficulty getting hits through a stout Indiana Tech defense.
WARRIORS FALL IN FIVE-SET MATCH TO UNOH

A two-game swing by the Warriors (7-17, 0-11) fell just short against the Northwestern Ohio Racers (15-14, 6-5) on Friday night at Garth Pleasant Arena. After falling flat in the first two games of the match, the Warriors found a spark for games three and four behind some phenomenal offensive play.
COMEBACK BID FOR WARRIORS COMES UP SHORT AT LAWRENCE TECH

The Warriors (7-15, 0-9) saw their comeback effort against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (10-5, 8-1) fall short on Wednesday night. After a slow first two games, the Warriors found their stride in the match's third installment offensively, but the Blue Devils recovered in the fourth game.

On Wednesday night, the Warriors (7-14, 0-8) were taken down by the Madonna Crusaders (4-10, 2-6) in three games. The Warriors got off to a solid start in the match's first game, but a slower second set seemed to halt the Warriors' momentum. Leading the way for the Warriors was sophomore Kourtney Mack with seven, while setter Emma Hock assisted the Warriors 11 times.

It was a game of inches for the Warriors (4-7, 0-2) and the Lourdes Gray Wolves (4-7, 1-2) on Friday night. After a comeback effort by the Warriors, the Gray Wolves took a 3-2 win over RCU. After two tightly contested games that went the way of the hosting Gray Wolves, RCU climbed back into the game thanks to a reenergized attacking effort.

The Warriors (2-6, 0-1) weren't able to overcome a solid attacking effort from the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (3-4, 1-0) on Wednesday night in Garth Pleasant Arena, falling 3-0. The efficiency numbers favored the visitors, who found consistency on outside hits throughout the night.
WARRIORS SECURE TWO WINS AT BIG DOGS CLASSIC

The Warriors (2-5) produced two stout wins during the St. Francis Big Dogs Classic over the Aug. 23 weekend, defeating hosts St. Francis (IL) and Saint Xavier in thrilling 3-2 victories. During the weekend, the Warriors saw several strong performances from players in every position, forcing comebacks in both wins.
