WARRIORS USE CLUTCH SECOND HALF TO COME AWAY WITH WIN OVER #RV IU-NORTHWEST
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - On a thrilling second day of the Faith Works Classic, the Rochester Christian Warriors surged from behind to clinch a narrow 78-74 victory over the #RV Indiana Northwest Redhawks on November 9 at Garth Pleasant Arena. After trailing in the first half, the Warriors found the momentum needed to push past the Redhawks and seal the win. Brett White led the scoring for Rochester Christian with 23 points, followed by Brody Parker with 20.
The game kicked off with intense exchanges as both teams fought hard. A tightly contested first half ended with Indiana Northwest ahead by 39-36. Key plays, including a dynamic dunk by James Fisher off an assist by Parker and pivotal buckets from White and Parker, kept Rochester Christian in hot pursuit.
As the second half progressed, the Warriors showcased their resilience with big plays to capture the lead and maintain it throughout the final minutes. Gunner Walters recovered from a quiet first half with six assists and multiple clutch buckets in the second, giving the Warriors a much-needed spark to stave off some runs by the Redhawks. Walters found White for a late three-pointer that helped RCU stay up two possessions, which would prove highly important in the final minute of the contest. Tymias Williams not only added 16 points but also made a significant defensive impact with three blocks and a game-sealing chase-down block in the final moments.
The Warriors return to Garth Pleasant Arena on Nov. 15 to face the Marian Knights for the first day of the JBA Classic.
