PARKER AND WHITE EARN WHAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS

LIVONIA, Mich. - In a release by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, the Warriors' Brett White and Brody Parker have earned the WHAC Men's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, respectively. The two Warriors were selected following their performances in a 2-0 weekend for the Warriors during the JBA Classic, where RCU defeated Marian and Mount Vernon Nazarene in tight finishes.

White earns the WHAC Offensive Player of the Week award after averaging 23.5 points per game while shooting over 84% from the free throw line. Against Mount Vernon Nazarene in a 70-69 win, White went 8-12 from the field, scoring 15 points in the second half to help the Warriors return from 14 points down with ten minutes remaining in the contest. White scored 20 in the Warriors' 81-80 OT win over the Marian Knights, second in scoring to Parker, who scored 27. This is White's second career WHAC Player of the Week award, earning one during the 2023-24 season.

Parker was selected for the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week award following two consecutive performances of phenomenal on-ball defense. He held his assignments to an average field goal percentage of 25.6% while snagging five steals in the Marian contest. The 6'0" guard was also a presence on the defensive glass, averaging 6.5 rebounds over the weekend. While not a defensive metric, Parker scored a game-winning buzzer-beater against MVNU to help the Warriors seal a 5-0 season start.

The Warriors will begin conference play on Wednesday, Nov. 20, on the road at #RV Cornerstone. Tip-off time is set for 7:30 p.m.
