WARRIORS LIGHT IT UP ON THE ROAD AGAINST CLEARY IN WIN

LANSING, Mich. - The three-point line was a welcome sight for RCU on Wednesday night at Gannon Gymnasium, as the Warriors took home a 92-58 victory with a 54.5% shooting performance from behind the arc against the Cleary Cougars. The Warriors were on it from the get-go, scoring 50 first-half points thanks to several contributions on offense. Leading in those contributions was forward Brett White, who scored 28 points while snagging nine rebounds. Guard Brody Parker tallied 23 points, and forward Dustin Farrow was all over, scoring 16 while grabbing seven rebounds and two steals.

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST HALF

The Warriors jumped out to an 8-2 lead thanks to a hot start by Parker, who finished an and-one to begin the game. Parker made his presence known offensively, setting up center James Fisher for an assist before knocking down a three on the following offensive possession. White got in on the action with an emphatic dunk and a layup, but Parker was not to be outdone with another three to expand the lead to 15-4. The Warriors wouldn't be stopped, finding easy baskets inside thanks to great passes by Gunner Walters, who logged nine assists in the contest. Walters hit a three at the 12:07 mark to give the Warriors a double-digit lead, and RCU was rolling.

White was a force in the paint, grabbing multiple offensive rebounds and continuing to score inside to keep the Warriors comfortably in the driver's seat. Farrow expanded the RCU lead with back-to-back threes to put the Warriors up 15, and White decided to change it up with a three of his own to grow the margin to 18. White knocked down two more threes in the final two minutes to help Rochester Christian enter the halftime break leading 50-28.

SECOND HALF

The Warriors didn't relent in the second half, beginning with an and-one by Farrow to maintain the physicality. Parker knocked down another three to put the Warriors up 58-32, before the Warriors got some more paint points from Fisher to keep the commanding lead. By the ten-minute mark, the Warriors were up 77-45 thanks to impressive two-way plays by Farrow.

Rochester Christian wouldn't slow down, attacking the paint with three consecutive layups to push the margin to 38. Tre Walker III and Ashton Goul added baskets of their own to continue the momentum, and RCU wrapped up the contest with a 92-58 final score.

STAT OF THE GAME

The Warriors dominated the assist margin in this one, out-assisting the Cougars 24-5.
