WARRIORS DRAW TO BLUE DEVILS BEHIND BRILLIANT KEEPER PERFORMANCE FROM TAUZIK

WASHINGTON, Mich. - Goalkeeper Kris Tauzik recorded his fifth double-digit save game of the season for the Warriors (0-6-2, 0-3-1) on Saturday evening in Michigan Stars Sports Center, forcing a tie against the visiting Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (3-4-2, 1-0-2) 1-1. The Warriors led for most of the game following a brilliant transition goal, with Tauzik producing multiple high-difficulty saves.

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST HALF

  • The Warriors and Blue Devils were off to a lightning-fast start, with both teams producing runout opportunities. The Warriors would strike gold in the 19th minute when forward Dmitar Stankovic made a move to pass through two Blue Devil defenders in the midfield before passing it up to Garrett Doud, who pushed the ball to Ivan Stojanovic for a one-touch goal

SECOND HALF

  • Tauzik was on fire in goal, keeping the Warriors ahead with multiple diving efforts, including several one-on-one chances by the Blue Devils. The Warriors had a couple of near-chances at expanding the lead to two goals but couldn't convert. After a gritty 44 minutes of play by the Warriors, the Blue Devils got their chance on a tap-in to secure a tie with 30 seconds remaining
