GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Warriors (0-8-2, 0-5-1) fell behind the Cornerstone Golden Eagles (5-4-1, 4-2-0) on Wednesday night 2-0. Despite a fairly even shot distribution, the Golden Eagles were able to find a few more openings than the Warriors and take the win.
THE RUNDOWN
FIRST HALF
- The Warriors went down early after a Golden Eagle goal just nine minutes into the game. The Warriors produced a few shot opportunities that went just wide, but kept things sound on the other end by putting high pressure on Cornerstone. Viktor Juncaj registered the Warriors' first shot-on-goal attempt in the 25th minute, followed shortly after by Ivan Stojanovic five minutes later. The Warriors entered halftime down one
SECOND HALF
- RCU had another near chance two minutes into the second half, with Nemanja Adamovic starting things off with a shot on goal. RCU continued to add shot attempts, but the team found themselves in a bind after a second goal by the hosts in the 66th minute. The Warriors continued to try and push the ball for more attacking opportunities, but couldn't produce an answer as time expired
