
WARRIORS SECURE DOMINANT 35-9 WIN OVER MIDWAY IN SEASON OPENER
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - The Rochester Christian Warriors (1-0) inaugurated their wrestling season with a commanding 35-9 victory over the Midway University Eagles in a dual meet held at Marshall Gymnasium on Nov. 2.
Three Warriors, Cristian Rojas (125 lbs), Jager Kwiatkowski (141 lbs), and Martin Jacobo (285 lbs), particularly stood out by winning their bouts by fall, contributing significantly to the team's score. Team captain Jager Kwiatkowski showcased remarkable resilience in his match, overcoming a 12-point deficit in the second round to secure a win by fall, marking a key moment of the meet.
The Warriors built momentum early, claiming victories in the first five rounds, three of which came through either a fall or a major decision. This strong start set the tone for the remainder of the meet, paving the way for a stellar team performance.

The Warriors are set to face Cornerstone at the Garth Pleasant Arena on Nov. 13 for their next dual of the season, and first WHAC dual since the 2023-24 campaign.
