WARRIORS PLACE FIFTH IN WHAC TOURNAMENT; POLK SECURES NAIA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT BERTH

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Warriors finished up the 2024-25 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Wrestling Tournament on Saturday afternoon inside Mol Arena, placing fifth of eight teams. Leading the charge for RCU was Julius Polk in the 174-lb weight class, who placed second in the 174-lb bracket, sealing a ticket to Polk's first-ever NAIA National Tournament berth.

Polk joins Kyle Scott and Jackson Schenk as the third Warrior in program history to qualify for the NAIA National Tournament, held this year in Park City, Kan. Polk won his matches leading to the final by fall and major decision, before winning the second-place match by a 5-2 decision.

The Warriors saw multiple tournament placements, with Jailen Tatum securing fourth in the 165-lb bracket while three Warriors - Mario Orueta, Jager Kwiatkowski, and Kirgin Tanis - earned fifth-place finishes.
