JULIUS POLK WRAPS UP STELLAR SEASON WITH TWO WINS AT NAIA NATIONALS
PARK CITY, Kan. - Following two days at the 2024-25 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships, junior Julius Polk's phenomenal season came to a close, with the Warrior securing two wins out of four matches in the 174 lb. bracket.
Polk's first appearance at the NAIA National Championships came after the Pontiac native secured a Second Team All-Conference selection with a pivotal run in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, securing RCU's third consecutive trip to the national tournament.
Following a loss in the first round, Polk went on a tear in the first two matches of the 174 lb. consolation bracket, winning his first match by technical fall (21-6). In his second consolation round match, Polk again put on a show, winning by fall (1:33). Polk's run ended in the next match of the bracket.
The Warriors will head back to the practice mats for the offseason but will look to build on another strong year of team and individual performances.
