WARRIORS SWEPT AT HOME BY CORNERSTONE

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - It was a tough outing on a cold day for the Warriors against Cornerstone, with the team dropping both games after the Golden Eagles capitalized on consistent batting efforts. Jaya Forti produced one RBI for the Warriors, while Chloe Gildea logged two hits in the day's second game.

THE RUNDOWN

The Warriors fell behind early in the first game of the matchup, with Cornerstone taking three runs in the first inning by using bunts to get runners on base. The Warriors couldn't get anyone going on the hits to counter the efforts by the visitors, who added two more runs at the top of the second inning thanks to a two-run single.

The Golden Eagles added four more runs in the third inning, and RCU continued to have trouble in the batter's box. After five innings, the game concluded with a final score of 9-0.

Errors plagued the Warriors in the second game, with Cornerstone continuing to ring in hits throughout the five innings of play. RCU began to produce some hits, but the Warriors found themselves down big after several big hits by the Golden Eagles. In the fifth inning, Jaya Forti secured the Warriors' run of the game, doubling to left field to score Gildea.
