GARY, Ind. - In a challenging regular-season basketball contest at the Savannah Center on Nov. 6, the Warriors fell short against Indiana Northwest, with the final scoreboard reading 83-63. Jacey Somers led the scoring for the Warriors with 18 points, followed by Shahd Bakkar, who notched 11 points. Karmyn Lowry and Ashley Loon each contributed 7 points. Lowry also managed to pull down three rebounds and nabbed two steals.
The game began on a rough note for the Warriors, who quickly found themselves trailing after Indiana Northwest executed an 18-6 run. Despite the initial setback, the Rochester Christian squad fought valiantly to regain their footing. By halftime, the Warriors were down 42-25, struggling to contain the offensive push from the Redhawks.
In the second half, Lowry and Bakkar came out strong off the bench, combining for nine points to try and boost a Warriors comeback. However, the Warriors could not overcome Indiana Northwest's early lead. Other notable performances included Demi Rodriguez and Emily Lockey, who both contributed on the boards and defensive end.
This loss moves Rochester Christian's early season record to 1-3. The Warriors will move on to face Spring Arbor on Nov. 13 at American 1 Credit Union Arena.
