OLIVIA HOWES AND NICOLE WROBEL SNAG WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
LIVONIA, Mich. - In the first installment of the 2024-25 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards, Warrior women's soccer athletes Olivia Howes and Nicole Wrobel were named the WHAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This marks the first time in program history that the Warriors have had players earn honors for offensive and defensive performances in the same week.
Howes and Wrobel were both important fixtures in the Warriors' offensive game plan this weekend. Howes scored a goal in the Warriors' season opener against the Judson Eagles on Aug. 15. The pair connected for a goal the next day against St. Francis (IL), with Howes crossing the ball to Wrobel for a game-tying goal. This is the first time either player has earned the WHAC Player of the Week distinction.
The Warriors return to action tomorrow against Holy Cross for their home opener on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m. in Michigan Stars Sports Center.
