ADRIAN, Mich. - The Warriors (2-5-5, 2-3-2) fell to the Siena Heights Saints (7-2-3, 4-1-1) on Friday afternoon. For the Warriors, offense was hard to come by as the Saints attacked the Warriors with over 20 shot attempts. RCU held off the Saints for much of the match, but a second-half goal proved to be the decider in the host's favor.
THE RUNDOWN
FIRST HALF
- Things started slow for the Warriors, but junior Olivia Howes nearly opened things up with a shot on goal in the first few minutes. The Saints pushed the ball hard for most of the first half, out-shooting the Warriors 10-2 in the opening 45 minutes. With under eight minutes to go, the Warriors nearly got a chance from midfielder Kaylah Joyce that nailed the crossbar
SECOND HALF
- The Saints continued to attack the Warrior defense with several shot attempts, getting one to go five minutes into the second half. The Warriors would get a couple near opportunities, including a late shot by Laila Vanhoorelbeke that was blocked, but the Saints prevailed
