
WOMEN'S SOCCER CONFERENCE AWARDS RELEASED; HOWES EARNS SECOND TEAM NOD
LIVONIA, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has released its 2024 women's soccer season conference awards. For the Warriors, forward Olivia Howes has taken home a Second Team All-Conference nod following a stellar offensive season. Also highlighted for RCU was defender Sydney Hawks, who earned a spot on the WHAC All-Newcomer team after being a defensive fixture for the Warriors throughout the year. Senior defender Bella Ames received the Warriors' Champions of Character nomination.
In 17 starts, Howes led the Warriors in goals and assists with nine and five, respectively. Three of Howes' assists came in a single game against Concordia Ann Arbor on Sept. 11, a 7-0 win for RCU. Hawks scored one goal this season for the Warriors - a game-winner against Defiance College on Oct. 23 - and was part of an RCU back line that produced five shutouts this season.
