VOLLEYBALL BEGINS WEEKEND ROAD TRIP AGAINST MICHIGAN-DEARBORN; FOLLOWS UP WITH LOURDES

The Warriors (3-21, 0-13) hit the road Friday and Saturday to face the Wolverines from Michigan-Dearborn (10-13, 6-8) and the Lourdes University Gray Wolves (2-17, 2-12). The Warriors are anxious to break into the conference win column against lower-tier opponents after a tough stretch in the schedule.

WARRIORS AT MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

Rochester is looking forward to using the renovated facilities at Michigan-Dearborn, and they will throw it up at 7 p.m. Friday with the Wolverines. The Wolverines will be hungry; they have lost four of their last five, dropping them to eighth in the WHAC standings.

The Warriors played them two weekends ago, losing in four sets at Garth Pleasant Arena, and will remember there is no secret to the Wolverines' scheme. Seniors Sydney Eggleton and Kielee Tondryck will take the bulk of the swings, with Eggleton recording 3.10 kills per set, good enough for eighth in the WHAC. Senior Regan Rose will be out there all match finding those two with her sets.

WARRIORS AT LOURDES

Rochester will keep the buses running Friday night; they travel to Ohio to play the Gray Wolves on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Wolves have lost eight straight, now placing tenth in the conference, just ahead of the Warriors.

Head coach Greg Reitz of the Gray Wolves, now in his fourteenth season at the helm, has not had a winning season at Lourdes since 2018. Reitz remains emphatic on the sideline with the same program he started in 2010, trying to find his former ways of winning.

Junior Miyana Dishroon will set the Wolves up, usually senior Kylee McBride who leads the Wolves by a large margin with 3.14 kills per set. The Wolves could be better at defending the net, sitting last in the WHAC in blocks per set. The Warriors will look for their spikes to break through.
