WARRIORS DROP THREE GAMES TO MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

DEARBORN, Mich. - In what was a quieter outing for the Warriors (4-10, 0-4) on Wednesday night, RCU was defeated in straight sets by the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines (10-4, 2-3). Chante Hudgins and Kourtney Mack led the Warriors in kills with 15 combined, while setter Mackenzie Keefer logged 16 assists. 

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST GAME - 20-25 MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

  • The first game started with kills from the Warriors' Emily Carroll, Hudgins, and Alyssa Swanson to start things off. After both teams traded points for the first half of the game, Michigan-Dearborn went on a 7-2 run to take a commanding lead for the remainder of the game. The Warriors went on a 5-1 run to bring things to a closer margin, but the Wolverines pulled away to secure the set

SECOND GAME - 18-25 MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

  • The Wolverines picked things up in the second game, starting out with a 10-4 lead over the Warriors. Thanks to a 6-1 run, the Warriors pulled back within three points midway through the game. However, a few service aces from the Wolverines helped push the home team to 25 points before RCU had a chance to tie things up 

THIRD GAME - 17-25 MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

  • The Warriors were off to a picture-perfect start in the third game, beginning with an 8-2 run thanks to kills from Mack, Hudgins, and Carroll to get things going. Michigan-Dearborn responded with a 6-0 run to tie things up and didn't look back from there, embarking on a 7-0 run to head up 17-10 in the final game. RCU was unable to recover, with the match finishing in straight sets
