WARRIORS WRAP UP ALMA OPEN; SNYDER SECURES PROGRAM'S FIRST OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

ALMA, Mich. - Program history was made for the Warriors on Sunday, Jan. 19, with freshman Julia Snyder securing the Warriors' first-ever open championship in the 110-lb. weight class. Snyder went 3-0 in the event, securing the championship match by technical fall. 

Also making a run in the open for the Warriors was Jewlie Gonzales, who won three straight matches in the consolation bracket to make it through the 131 quarterfinals and third-place match. 

UP NEXT

The Warriors head to Fort Wayne, Ind., on Jan. 24 to take on the Indiana Tech Duals.
